This Tokyo games marked the first time in Olympic history that male and female athletes were equally represented and televised. Although this is a historic moment, there’s still a long road ahead to ensure equality for women in sport.
Partnering with Women Will and Google Brand Studio we’ve highlighted some of the continuing struggles that female athletes face in their battle to be known on and off the field.
The project was brought to life by an all-female team of illustrators, animators, editors, beatboxers, strategists and creatives.
